CHRIS STACK – MARKETING CREATIVES PORTFOLIO

Thank you for taking the time to review my portfolio. As a marketer with a multimedia and engineering background, a large part of my professional life has been spent amplifying stories of the products, innovations, inventors, scientists, engineers and artists with which I have worked. I have fueled the success of many companies by bringing their unique narrative to a wider audience.

Much of my professional life has been spent “wearing many hats.” For most of my employers I was the de facto in-house advertising and marketing agency, giving me many years of hands-on experience in:

  • Copywriting, PR & Social Media
  • Graphic Design
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Content Creation
  • Video Production and Photography
  • Web Design and Management
  • Email Marketing
  • Trade Shows and Events

As you explore my portfolio please note that most images are clickable, bringing you a closer look or more information.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

My video production skills have allowed me to greatly amplify marketing messaging by using video as an integral part of web and social media content, product launches, press release collateral and trade show displays.

As these examples show, I am comfortable working with a wide range of subject matter; from genetic test equipment to industrial machining and real estate.

In addition, my own YouTube channel for electronic music production techniques has over 3,800 subscribers and 1,250,000 total views.

PR, SOCIAL MEDIA & MEDIA RELATIONS

I have significant experience working with major national and international media outlets.

Media Point-of-Contact:

WIRED Magazine Moog Unveils Badass Guitar with Infinite Sustain
KEYBOARD MagazineThe Minimoog at 40 From the Dawn of the Synth Age to New Voyages
AudioFanzineTest Du Moog Taurus 3 Bass Pedals, Le Pied Total

I can create compelling media narratives when my content creation skills are used as part of my PR efforts.
A particular example is my work on the Vo-96 project:

VO-96 Acoustic Synthesizer PR

I created this video while working as marketing director for Vo Inventions. Since Vo Inventions was a new start-up at that point and had no YouTube channel, I posted it on my channel and sent it to my contacts in the industry press.

It was incredibly popular, receiving 100,000 views in eight days and was instrumental to the success of the Vo-96 Kickstarter. It now has over 199,000 views.

It and my follow-up videos and PR were picked up by not only music industry press, but also by national and international tech and general news outlets, including:

Letter written for company president in response to Hurricane Katrina

Dear Friends in the Cable Industry,

It is with much sadness that we witness the destruction brought about by hurricane Katrina. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have died or who have lost loved ones. Also in our prayers are those who are enduring the unimaginable hardships brought on by this disaster. They will need our help now and in the coming weeks and months.

When disasters like this occur, perhaps the only bright side is the spirit of volunteerism and giving that blossoms when we as a people are tested in this way. Like companies and individuals across the country, dB-tronics and its employees are pitching in wherever possible with donations of money, goods and services to assist those in need.

Comprehending the scope of a relief effort of this magnitude is in itself a daunting task. While the basic needs of shelter, food, clean water and medical assistance require the most immediate attention, the ability to sustain the fulfillment of these needs depends on the rapid rebuilding of that area’s infrastructure.

One of the most important segments of this infrastructure is the communications networks. In order for the relief agencies to coordinate their efforts and effectively communicate with the public, the rapid restoration of all types of communications services is a necessity. We applaud the heroic efforts you are making now and will be making in the months to come. We truly live in a wondrous age when you can save lives by providing a Red Cross worker the ability to email a list of medical needs.

At dB-tronics, we realize that in order for this restoration to proceed, the first step in this great effort is to make sure that you and your families are cared for. With this in mind we ask, “What can we do to help?”

Everyone’s first impulse in situations like this is to start sending every imaginable form of assistance in the direction of the disaster. We realize that, especially with the changing needs and logistical difficulties in the area, this may not be the best course of action. In order for us to help most effectively, we need to find out from you what your needs are and how we can best work to fulfill them. Whether it is food, water, clothing, household items or anything else that those of us out of harms way cannot anticipate, please let us know.

Our Marketing Manager, Chris Stack, has been charged with coordinating our assistance efforts. He will be working closely with Susan Davis and Mary Hunter Adams, the Regional Sales Managers for that area and with Peggy Comereski, our Corporate Accounts Manager. Their contact information is included below.

Please forward any information to them on how we can best assist you. We realize that we do not have the resources to help everyone but we will do all that we can.

Warm regards,

Christian Hope

President, dB-tronics, Inc.
